Questio n: What are your views on the Indian wire industry? Answer : Wires and cables are used in every industry and business as they are versatile and robust. Question : How do you educate your customer about the right die technology? Are the customers ready to accept the right solution? Answer : Die technology means we have to know the metal to be drawn, tolerance, inlet wire, casing size as per machine, machine speed, and lubricant filtration system. Then we make the geometry of the die on our customised drawing die 3D software and send the final die drawing to the customer for confirmation. Even after the production of the die, we supply the dies with a Conoptica report to ensure the right die geometry is made. This makes certain that the customer should also know the right geometry of the die to get the optimum production and also save the cost to the maximum extent possible. Technical training to the end user for die and maintenance: We also provide three day workshops to engineers and operators to learn step-by-step maintaining of the die for maximum utilisation and longer life. Question : What challenges do you face in convincing the customers about right die technology? Answer : We face many challenges when convincing customers about the right die technology. Price: Every customer requires a high quality product with a most competitive price. So ‘negotiation’ is always a challenge with customers. New products: Today, with the development in metallurgies, different ways of drawing applications have evolved which sometimes provide a multi-dimensional approach to reach the conclusion on the right drawing die. Die life: A die life, which is an important part in die technology, vastly depends on the raw material used, but actually metal to be drawn, machine speed, lubricant, filtration of lubricant, etc, play major roles with regard to die life. Question : Do you have any JV or represent any overseas company with respect to wire die solutions? Answer : Yes, we have a joint venture with Turner & Stott Ltd (UK).
