wire 2020 show
30 March - 3 April
➣➢➣ optional loading assistance, and also double unwinders for tubing operations, cantilevered shafts or shaftless unwinders. The adapted cutting system is o ered for perfect slitting quality, whatever the type of product and the application. To accommodate the speci c constraints of the di erent components used in power or special cables, Calemard’s slitter-rewinders can be tted with individual friction shafts to compensate for the thickness variations of products such as foils, adhesive tapes or laminates. Machinery can also be equipped with standard pneumatic shafts, lay-on arms with adjustable pressure, or cantilevered shafts for easy unloading. For spooling lines, the company proposes di erent technologies depending on the customer’s need: digital self-traversing spooling for sensitive products or xed spooling technology for stable products. Each features full computer control of winding pro les and individual setting of each position to ensure exibility, consistency, stability of the spool (especially for narrow-width materials) and exact repeatability via a recipe storage system. The digital function allows the managing of shapes and spooling technology (conical/pineapple/ pyramidal, step winding, etc). The modular design allows the Calemard spooling lines to be easily increased with spooling units to follow increases in production. Spoolex SAS www.spoolex.com Spring Tooling Ltd has been one of the principal manufacturers of precision tools for spring and wire forming machinery for over 45 years. The company will display a range of tooling in high-speed steel and tungsten carbide. The tooling on show will consist of wire guides, coiling points, feed rolls, pitch spacers, cutters, mandrels and a wide range of tooling for a variety of specialised wire forming machinery, such as bedding and seating. Staku-Anlagenbau GmbH Stand: 09 C80
Staku Anlagenbau specialises in surface preparation and coating systems for the ferrous and non-ferrous wire industries, with a focus on electrolytical surface treatment processes. The company o ers a portfolio of cleaning and coating systems for copper plating of welding wire, a phosphating system for inline coating and drawing lines, and high-speed cleaning lines for removing lubricants and other surface contaminants after drawing. Staku, located in central Germany but with representation worldwide, can supply individual solutions as well as complete turnkey projects, including installation and commissioning. Under the brand name e-systems, Staku has summarised its individual processes and holds several European and international patents.
Rotor Jet wire cleaning system
▲
The company’s Rotor Jet wire cleaning unit is for surface preparation at high speeds. Especially in the welding wire industry the Rotor Jet system, at 2,100 psi and 85°C, does not leave any lubrication on the wire surface, even at process speeds up to 30m/sec. By following this cleaner with an electrolytic surface activation unit using a weak sulphuric acid, the quality of copper coated welding wire can be ensured. With its e-phos technology, Staku o ers a high-speed phosphating process for wire speeds up to 2m/sec. This application can be installed in front of a multi-pass drawing machine for steel/PC wire, or before a single-pass bull block as part of a production line for CHQ wire.
