Flange driven systems can be equipped with various options including a bus system, an electrically driven laying unit, or an EP-converter to enable the integration of a braiding machine with the system. The EP-converter for an electro-pneumatic tension adjustment and the electrically driven laying unit on the take-up provides the possibility of setpoint via the bus system by an external control system. This integration capability ensures a lean data structure and a process-safe operation. New to the Kurre product portfolio are simple shaft-driven take-ups for the logistics industry to remove cables and wires from, for example, shelving systems. The shaft take-ups are designed to be moved by simple handling. Depending on the application these shaft-driven take-ups can wind the product onto spools of up to 500mm diameter or onto a reel. Especially suitable for thicker products, the reel o ers the advantage of winding onto a collapsing core and, after the winding process, removing it without di culty. There is also a choice between manual or driven installation. The standard design includes a manual laying unit, which can be moved by hand via two roller guides. The design of the roller guide provides various components such as product guides and a length measurement. Depending on the application, other designs can be provided. For winding smaller diameter products in longer lengths the laying unit can also be equipped with a drive, making it possible to set an automatic shutdown at de ned lengths. The drive may be decoupled mechanically so the laying process can be done by hand.

At Lämneå Bruk’s stand, an experienced sales team will present one of its latest innovations – the second generation of the fully automatic precision layer winder (FA-PLW). The FA-PLW will run live, several times every day of the show. This new machine combines speed, precision and user-friendliness. The spools are changed fully automatically with servo-drive motor operated toolings. To ensure a smooth and problem-free wire laying process, the number of sensors has been reduced while maintaining the same high-quality output.
