Another cleat contract secured Cable cleat manufacturer Ellis has won a major order from the Abu Dhabi Company for Petroleum Oil Operations (ADCO) for its Emperor cable cleats and Flexi-Strap intermediate straps. In addition to the ADCO order, other recent Ellis export successes in the region include the King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, and the Shamiya Haram expansion in Mecca. The company is also the sole supplier of cable cleats to the Dubai Cable Company (Pvt) Ltd (Ducab). This latest project, handled through Ellis’s UAE distributor, Everest Metal Industries, uses the cleats and intermediate straps to secure cables running throughout the third phase of ADCO’s Al Dabbiya surface facility – a project that is aimed at doubling the production capacity of the oil and gas facility. Ellis’s Emperor cable cleats are designed for use where the highest levels of short circuit withstand are required. They are available for both trefoil and single cable applications, and aremanufactured in type 316L stainless steel for corrosion protection. The benefits of the Emperor cleats extend to a patented design for quick and easy installation, and an integral LSF zero-

halogen polymeric liner and base pad that protects and cushions cables during short circuit conditions.

Medical over-molding Cable system manufacturer and cable specialist SAB Bröckskes is offering cable solutions with high material diversity as a plugandplay solution for systemequipment, even for prototypes and small series. Connection cables for medical devices and treatments are often subject to demanding requirements in daily use, whether through cleaning, disinfection or handling. SAB is expanding its range of medical cables with a new plug and play solution with over-molding made of medical grade silicone or thermoplastic elastomers.
