Setting new records already – ahead of doors opening It is just over a month now before wire 2018 springs into life in Düsseldorf, Germany, with record floor space having been booked many months in advance. New technologies, machinery and equipment, as well and products and services will all be presented during the five days which bi-ennially shapes the wire and cable calendar. wire is being staged in halls 9 to 16 and temporarily in hall 18 of the Fairgrounds, and will feature machinery for the manufacturing and finishing of wire, tools and auxiliary materials for process engineering, as well as materials, special wires and cables. Measurement and control engineering, test engineering and a range of specialist areas are also being covered during the five-day show. Responding to the increasing use of glass fibre technology in the energy sector, as well as in construction and communications, the 2018 staging will have an even greater focus on this sector. Our coverage starts on page 56 in this issue of Wire & Cable ASIA , and keep an eye out for the bumper March issue of EuroWire , highlighting many of the companies exhibiting at the Fairgrounds.
