Pourtier and its sister company Setic also provide a complete range of single twist machines from 630 to 2,500mm. A 1,250mm single twist will be exhibited illustrating the versatility (control, instru- mentation, data and battery cable) and flexibility (for laying-up, stranding and wire armouring process) of these solutions. Pourtier (Gauder Group) – France Website : www.pourtier-setic.com Proton Products will debut its latest developments in precision measurement and control products. New products on show will include: • InteliSens SL/SLR mini series speed and length sensors. These are small, fully featured non-contact laser Doppler speed and length sensors, with a footprint comparable to that of a smartphone. The InteliSens mini series sensors have an accuracy better than ±0.05 per cent, and are designed to replace inaccurate mechanical speed and length measurement devices • InteliSens DG-k series diameter gauge is the smallest form-factor gauge in the DG-k series and is suitable for insulation and small jacketing processes. Super-fast, the DG-k gauge is an advanced, solid state LED and CCD instrument with no moving parts and a measurement rate of 10,000 times per axis per second for high speed applications • InteliTherm HTG400 handheld wire temperature gauge was recently introduced to the market in the USA. The gauge is suitable for use on all bare wire types, and comprises a bimetallic wheel construction with integrated electronics for precise, responsive measurement performance. It provides high-precision wire temperature measurement of better than ±0.5ºC up to 400ºC (752ºF) Other new products include the InteliSens ST-HF series spark tester for high- frequency testing. This spark tester permits increases in line speed and productivity with complete coverage detection of the wire surface. Proton Products instruments are supplied with intelligent, easy-to-integrate capabilities with a broad range of embedded process interfaces, including Ethernet, RS-232 and CANbus communications. Optional Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, or industrial protocol IP can be substituted for the Ethernet communications interface. PWM Stand: 09B41

British manufacturer PWM will exhibit its full range of cold pressure welding machines, including two portable models for bonding trapezoidal profile. Visitors to the stand will see PWM’s cold weld technology in action and can try out the machines for themselves. PWM’s air/hydraulic HP100 and HP200 cold welders enable operators to weld non-ferrous material 1 to 6.5mm (0.039" to 0.256") in diameter without effort.

Pourtier (Gauder Group) Stand: 10E40

Pourtier, a member of the Gauder Group, develops and manufactures heavy duty rotating machines to produce all types of power and control cables. With more than 700 drum twister and 120 rigid stranding and planetary lines commissioned all over the world, Pourtier remains a leader for machines for low and medium voltage up to high and extra-high voltage power cable. Pourtier develops equipment for overhead conductors (including ACCC™ , ACSS-TW and ACSR-TW with trapezoidal wires) as well as underground HV and EHV cable AC type (high quality Milliken conductors) or submarine cable DC type (extra large conductor, either compacted or made of trap wire).

Portable and simple to use, these versatile machines will join wire, strip and profile, including trapezoidal profile for manu- facturing cable for sub-sea applications. Power consumption is minimal, since the machines require only a supply of compressed air, and they can be moved easily to the work area, saving effort and reducing downtime. The P1500, the largest cold welder in PWM’s range, will also be on show. Designed for bonding large rod sections up to 25mm (0.984") copper and 30mm (1.181") aluminium, the electro/hydraulic P1500 is quiet and economical to operate. The smaller electro/pneumatic EP500, one of PWM’s best-selling machines, has a capacity of 5 to 12.5mm (0.197" to 0.492") copper; and 5 to 15mm (0.590") aluminium. Both machines are energy efficient, dependable, clean and user-friendly. Like all PWM machines, no set up time is required and the welds produced are reliable, consistent and stronger than the parent material. PWM also produces a comprehensive range of manually operated models, including the best-selling M101 machine for wire sizes 1 to 5mm (0.04" to 0.197"). This robust, low-maintenance cold welder can be used on a work bench or supplied with a trolley, as can the BM10 and BM30 models for wire 0.1 to 1.8mm (0.0039" to 0.071"). ❍ The HP200 air hydraulic cold welding machine from PWM

The company is also focused on tailored design and custom-made equipment used in submarine, umbilical cables and oil and gas applications. On the stand, visitors will discover the “jumbo reel – 1,000mm” planetary machine designed for steel wire armouring of long length power submarine cable. ❍ Heavy duty rotating machines from Pourtier
