Candor was founded in 1946 and is specialised in wire cleaning and plating plants, and supplies chemicals for various applications. It offers a combination of expertise in chemical processes and advanced equipment for cleaning and plating of wire. The company will present the latest developments of the Copperjet, a high-speed copper coating plant, chemical or electrolytic, for high quality welding wires. The plant will copper coat wire at speeds up to 25m or 30m per second with high quality cleaning and coating. The modular design makes it possible to satisfy a wide range of quality demands and applications for CO 2 MIG, FCW and SAW welding wires, and also stainless steel welding wires with ultrasonic or electrolytic cleaning. The Copperjet is available with optional Candojet HW hot water spray pre-cleaning, high current density spray pickling, and Copperjet copper coating, with looping of the wire or straight wire pass line with Copperjet technology. Candor will also present its technology for wire plating plants for both ferrous and non-ferrous wires. To meet this major constraint, Condat’s R&D laboratory has optimised its soluble Vicafil SL lubricant range. These water- soluble lubricants provide a high level of lubrication, even on the most demanding applications such as saw wire or welding wire. They can be used for drawing low- or high-carbon steels with various surface preparations from bare wire, pre-drawn wire, acid picked and phosphate coated or galvanised wire. Above all, they ensure a clean surface finish. The formulation of Vicafil SL lubricants has been reinforced to form a stable emulsion. Enhanced with biocide and anti-foam additives, they give a long bath life. Anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties complete these high performing solutions to produce high quality finished products. Vicafil SL lubricants are easier to emulsify, producing a solution that is simple to monitor. Vicafil SL soluble lubricants are long lasting and easy to put into solution.
