of rolled and drawn bars, with particular reference to rolling and straightening lines for steel bars and non-ferrous materials. Over the years, the company’s research and development work has enabled Engen to register several patents and to collaborate with large industrial groups. In 1992, Engen built and patented its first strapping machine model, which was then developed over the years to achieve results in a simple and reliable product. To date, more than 550 machines have been produced, most of them customised for the user. is the production of heavy industrial packaging machinery, strapping machines with related bundling and automatic strapping equipment, taping and wrapping machines, handling equipment for loading and unloading material, and straightening machines for bars with related equipment. The company’s core business Engen’s portfolio is enhanced by a new business unit, following its merger with Alessandro Stella Srl – a company specialising in the trading, retrofitting and re-certification of used machinery in the bar peeling, straightening and drawing section. The exchange of knowledge and experience between Engen and Alessandro Stella offers customers a variety of products and services. Engen relies on the high specialisation of its staff, which include a design office, machine tool technicians, and assembly technicians with expertise in installing, starting up and retrofitting machinery at its own premises and at customers’ sites. At wire India, the Engen team will present the new company composition, the updated catalogue of used machinery, and different customised solutions for customers of bright bars. FIB Belgium’s Zinxaver
With concern about reducing con- sumption and impact on environment, FIB Belgium is developing and continu ally improving its open fire furnaces. Ten years ago, the company developed the Imflex® open fire furnace, allowing a reduction in gas consumption of up to 27 per cent. All installations are equipped with 4.0 technology to offer traceability and production quality control. For customers in need of a patenting line, annealing-galvanising line or bell furnace, FIB is developing and mastering various solutions to reduce environmental impact. At wire India FIB will present its equipment (whether using electricity or gas) as well as its Saver and e-solution ranges. FIB Belgium SA www.fib-group.com
H Folke Sandelin AB Stand: I07
H Folke Sandelin AB (HFSAB), a specialist in the field of lead extruders and cable stripping and repair machines, is an independent company of the Niehoff Group, and will be co-exhibiting at wire India with Niehoff in Hall 1. Personnel will be available to discuss the latest addition to the range of lead extruders, the introduction of the high output Type 5 lead extruder, and new technology for the main motor and gearbox, as well as a new ergonomic design. Lead extruders for cable sheathing require precise adjustment to ensure that the lead sheath is applied concentrically around the cable with a constant, close-tolerance thickness. HFSAB has developed a semi-automatic die-centring device for the die block of its lead extruders. This device simplifies the time-consuming die adjustment process, reducing set-up times and operator errors. Precise adjustments allow for efficient and economical use of lead, resulting in material savings in the cable sheath layers. The centring device is available as an option for new machines, or can be retrofitted to existing extruders. Further innovations, such as a device for cutting start-up scrap, will be presented digitally. Energy-efficient melting pots are available for capacities of 10, 18, 35 and 60 tonnes, depending on produc tion demands. Also available from HFSAB are the CRRS and SM-H cable stripping machines, both of which can remove
