Schlatter Industries AG

line composed of modern-design single bow back-twist payoff and double-twist machine, for data, automotive and LAN cables, and will present the company’s solutions for Industry 4.0. It will show an AST1000R 1,000mm single twist assembling machine that illustrates the company’s versatile solutions (LAN, control, instrumentation, data and battery cables) and flexibility (laying-up, stranding and wire armouring process). A TC1250-4M 1,250mm double-twist machine for stranding up to 19 wires and laying-up of insulated cores or bare flexible copper conductors will also be displayed. Setic SAS www.setic-pourtier.com 09 A41 Sikora will present a broad portfolio of future-oriented measuring and control systems for efficient and sustainable quality control in the wire and cable, optical fibre and plastics industries. For almost five decades, Sikora measuring systems have contributed to quality control and simultaneous reduction of plastic material during cable production, saving costs and contributing to sustainable production. The company states that up to five million tons of carbon dioxide are saved annually by using its measuring devices. At wire, visitors will be able to experience the performance of the measuring devices during product demonstrations. One highlight will be the measuring system X-Ray 6000 Pro, which is used for the measurement of wall thickness, eccentricity, diameter and ovality of cables with up to three different material layers, for example in insulating and jacketing lines. The combination of the X-Ray 6000 Pro with the Ecocontrol 6000 processor system allows for automatic control of the wall thickness. By reducing the wall thickness by, for example, 5 per cent, raw material consumption is reduced and plastic material savings are achieved. The quality of a cable starts with the pureness of the rawmaterial. Sikora offers on-line and off-line inspection, sorting and analysis systems for plastic pellets. By using inspection and sorting systems, contamination can be detected and automatically sorted out, breakdowns can be eliminated and material costs can be saved. Sikora AG

The wire coil is weighed and then wrapped. The automatic wrapping machine also wraps the inner side of the wire coil. A labelling system places a sticker on the flat surface of the wire coil before the coil is removed by the operator with a forklift.
