Roblon solutions can help customers improve sustainability and overall efficiency in production. The stand will also showcase a variety of performance fibres. Roblon is a solution provider to the cable industry with a focus on FRP, performance fibres for cables, cable making machinery and the interaction between machines and materials. The company develops and manufactures performance fibres such as glass FRP, flexible glass and aramid strength members, binder yarns and ripcords (uncoated and water-blocking). It also manufactures servers, binders and precision winding equipment along with other cable handling equipment. The company is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified and has been awarded the Silver EcoVadis medal. It has an R&D and technology centre in Denmark, and manufacturing facilities in Denmark, the Czech Republic, and North Carolina, USA. Roblon A/S www.roblon.com Rohmann GmbH 16 I49 For the testing of the surfaces of long products, including wires, rods and pipes, Rohmann GmbH offers a modular concept for materials testing with eddy currents. When different testing techniques, such as rotors, encircling coils or yokes for magnetising and demagnetising the test piece, are used in the production line, one device is sufficient for displaying the results. Whether crack detection or material mix up, Elotest PL650 displays the test results of different testing stations, which in the past required several devices along the line. The modular concept for testing long products together with the licensing system for the Elotest PL650 allow for a short change-over time, a straightforward exchange of the testing techniques and an upgrade of the eddy current testing instrument at any time. Elotest PL650 is supplemented by the 19" PL650/R and the compact 9.5" PL650/ RC remote version for integration into automated systems. The EloLine software, used during the testing of long products, was also developed by Rohmann to visualise and record the acquired results. Information such as serial part numbers, batches, length of the tested parts and the name of the inspector can be saved in the database. A detailed test report for each tested part or a report on a specific production batch can be printed out.

The S320e represents the latest in Reelex’s new equipment and coiling technologies, and allows the user to make reels, spools, Reelex or linear coils all on one machine, via a programmable variable traverse. Bolt-on custom shafts accommodate a variety of spool sizes, and quick-change mandrels allow a wide variety of cable sizes to be wound in Reelex form. Featuring an ISO-standard safety design, physical safety cage, interlocks, safety PLC and Category 4 devices, the S320e can be used safely by both experienced and novice operators in distribution or manufacturing operations. The company will also exhibit physical examples of a variety of reel-less packaging technology available to cable manufacturers, including the Reelex Air® package – claimed to offer a slimmer profile, greater pay-out performance and a more environmentally friendly waste profile than current Reelex and other packaging options. Reelex Air allows cable producers to put more product on a pallet while reducing waste and eliminating bulky and costly spools and reels. Reelex is a patented method of winding any flexible filamentary material into a precision-wound figure-eight coil. This unique coil dispenses from the inside out without twists, tangles, snags or overruns, and can be placed into a wide range of containers, from cardboard boxes to shrink film and environmentally sustainable packaging. Reelex Packaging Solutions, Inc www.reelex.com RichardsApex, Inc 09 F06-04 RichardsApex, a manufacturer of wet lubricants for the ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy wire and tube industries, will be displaying its latest technology.
