Fully automated ultrasonic testing line supplied CONTRÔLE Mesure Systèmes (CMS) has supplied an automated ultrasonic testing line to the Russian market. The line is able to inspect both tubes and bars made of titanium and titanium alloys, from 6 to 65mm in diameter, at an inspection speed of up to 35m/min. The machine is composed of a loading table with automatic unravelling table, an input conveyor, an ultrasonic testing bench including RotoUTscan 65 and four motorised centring devices, as well as an output conveyor with sorting system according to inspection results. Defect detection possible with the RotoUTscan 65 UT rotating head with eight channels includes longitudinal, transversal, internal (on tubes), external, and 60° V-notches.

The ultrasonic electronics are comple- mented by Probus supervisor software, which collects and analyses analogue signals from NDT equipment, manages the line and creates detailed inspection reports by tube, bar or batch. CMS will participate at Tube Southeast Asia 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand, from 18 to 20 September. Contrôle Mesure Systèmes – France Email: contactcms@cmseddyscan.com Website: www.cmseddyscan.com
