Orbital cutting machine for tubes

THE Ultimate Split 6 orbital cutting machine is used for cutting tubes made of virtually all materials having diameters ranging from 12.7mm to 168mm (½" to 6") and wall thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 15mm (0.04" to 0.59"). It enables the cutting of pipes without any deformation thanks to its concentric clamping system. The cut is absolutely perpendicular and burr-free. The adjustment to the different diameters is simple and fast. Protem believes the Ultimate Split 6 is the ideal orbital cutting saw for all welding preparation works on-site or in the workshop. Various motorisation options are available such as electric or pneumatic. The orbital cutting machine Ultimate Split 6 (US6) can cut tubes rapidly and with perfect tube preparation for welding. A 316L stainless steel tube with a diameter of 114.3mm x 2mm (4" x 0.078") is cut in seconds. The orbital cutting process used for the US6 provides a number of advantages, including a perpendicular cut; automatic centring onto the pipe; perfect concentric clamping; a burr-free cut; and preparation for mechanised welding processes. Ultimaster orbital pipe cutting units are a solution for most on-site jobs, Protem believes. The machine is also well suited for prefabrication workplaces and it can be used under harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures, high humidity and ionising radiation. Different saw blades can be used, depending on the pipe thickness to be cut. The diameter of the orbital cutting saw blades is constantly 100mm. Specific TiAlN coating is available when ordering.
