FOC US ON GERMANY

Boosting bending efficiency with German engineering

reduction in wall thickness and optimal ovality. For one of its US customers active in the automotive industry, Schwarze- Robitec developed and delivered a tailor- made machine in 2018. The CNC 220 E TBMR is claimed to be the world’s largest fully electric multiple-radius tube bending machine featuring transport boost technology. It can be used to bend a wide range of tube and profile dimensions and even complex tube geometries, quickly, flexibly, precisely and efficiently. In terms of tube diameter, themachine’s maximum bending capacity is 8". It is also capable of processing tube lengths of up to 40ft. A vertically adjustable pressure die moves to the required bending level, allowing the bending force to be ideally dosed to ensure that the optimum contact pressure is applied to the tube. In combination with the individually adjustable multi-radius bending tool, the multi-level technology enables simple and precise tube forming, with very short lengths between bends. As with all Schwarze-Robitec tube bendingmachines, theCNC220ETBMR is equipped with bend former retraction, allowing the bend former and swing arm to be operated separately. This enables a diverse range of tube geometries to be more easily adjusted and positioned during the bending process. SCHWARZE-Robitec develops and produces tube and pipe bending machines, fully equipped automatic tube bending production lines and bending tools, as well as tube perforating machines, measuring systems and solutions for special-purpose machinery manufacture. All systems are made in Germany. Since 2011, Bert Zorn has managed the company. To date, the company has sold 3,000 CNC bending solutions worldwide, with some of them in use for more than 35 years. The bending solutions from Schwarze-Robitec are employed in the automotive industry, the energy sector and the shipbuilding industry. A diverse product portfolio mirrors the wide range of requirements in the tube and pipe bending industry. The High Performance series features tube bending machines designed for series and mass production that provide short cycle times, top speeds and maximum versatility. The Heavy Duty line of machines can be adjusted to meet production conditions at any given time, such as rising demand for complex and space- saving tube geometries. The Heavy Duty machines facilitate the bending of tubes and pipes with particularly small radii, and are therefore designed for long-term deployment under major strain. The Boiler & Power series includes booster bending machines that facilitate mandrel-free bending with minimal
