The product offers corrosion protection and extended sump life, and contains no sulphur compounds. Its lubricity is activated by a chlorinated EP ingredient. It is completely free of formaldehyde- releasing biocides, and is recommended for use in most general-purpose machining and grinding applications. Both Tech Cool 35058 and 35037 exhibit enhanced hard-water tolerance and increased emulsion stability. The in-service cleanliness of the products allows for long-term system life without the formation of heavy, tacky, water- insoluble residues.

THE surface treatment global business unit of the coatings division of BASF, operating under the Chemetall brand, has introduced two new products, Tech Cool ® 35058 and Tech Cool 35037. These metalworking coolants join the Tech Cool line of metalworking fluids for metal fabricators. “Tech Cool 35058 and 35037 are the result of our commitment to continuous innovation,” said Duane Fudge, senior director – product portfolio and applications at Chemetall. “Innovation that is motivated by our customer- centric approach. This kind of customer focus strengthens our goal to be the global supplier of choice for the surface treatment industry.” Tech Cool 35058 is a machining fluid developed specifically for applications requiring superior micro-finish on fer- rous alloys, low- and high-carbon steels, titanium, molybdenum and tough alloys.

It is low foaming and specially formulat- ed to run longer in high-velocity central systems. The product offers corrosion protection, contains no chlorine, sul- phur, boron or phosphorus compounds, and is compatible with ferrous and alu- minium alloys. The technology uses a blend of additives that delivers extended sump life. It is recommended for use in most medium- to heavy-duty machining and grinding applications.
