EWM AG has acquired a stake in H Euen GmbH, a systems vendor with complete solutions for robot automation, mechanisation and the manufacture of machine construction components for use in welding. The long-time partners announced the news at the EuroBLECH trade fair. The new company will trade under the name of EWM-Euen GmbH. The aim of the collaboration is to combine the extensive experience and expertise of the two welding technology experts in the area of production automation. EWM and H Euen are building an alliance together with a complete range of individual and custom-fit automation solutions. H Euen will contribute its many years of expertise in robot automation for welding processes. Alongside its welding technology with maXsolution innovation and technology consulting, EWM is providing comprehensive consulting and services. The new company will benefit from an extensive network of dealers, as

EWM is a German producer of arc welding technology, and its systems include welding machines with all the necessary components, including wire feeders, intermediate hose packages and welding torches. Furthermore, the family-run company fits its machines with all relevant accessories such as interfaces and software. H Euen was founded in 1967 and offers robotic complete solutions. The company also designs and produces machine construction com- ponents for the mechanisation and automation of welding processes. Its portfolio includes the design and engineering of automation components, as well as control development, on-site assembly and a customer-orientated service.

MTM wins two orders for precision tube mills OFFICINE MTM SpA, a manufacturer of tube mills for the production of precision tubes and welded profiles, has signed two orders for the supply of complete precision mills to customers in North America. Both of the complete tube mill lines will be equipped with a fully automated coil feed entry line; full option forming and sizing sections (with quick-change system for fast roll changing); double-blade orbital cut-off for the first mill and interchangeable cold saw/friction saw for the second; non- destructive testing and paint marking for control of the weld seam; and packaging lines with automatic strapping machines. The size range for round and shaped profiles is up to OD 168 x 7.1mm for the first mill, and up to OD 127 x 6.3mm for the second. The mills will be delivered to two different tube producers, and will be operational in the third quarter of 2019. The mills are expected to increase the customers’ capacities in terms of range of products and volume of production.
