Its European base in the Czech Republic has grown significantly and is about to extend its production area by 500m 2. This extra space will be available for use from early in 2018. The extra space will allow the company to invest in new machines: those that have been earmarked will be some of the most sophisticated on the market, such as five-axis machining centres and multifunction lathes that combine both milling and turning in one process. This will help reduce manufacturing time on the tooling. With this new space and the purchase of new capital equipment, staffing levels will increase significantly from current levels. Omni-X has also successfully finalised a new production cell that is dedicated to the production

of end-forming tooling. This is run independently from the tube bending section so the lead times on end forming are not affected by its tube bending tooling production.
