Production plant for oriented PVC pipes MOLECOR, a Spanish company specialised in the development of molecular orientation technology applied to the manufacture of TOM ® PVC-O (oriented PVC) pipes for pressure water piping, has strengthened its presence in Paraguay with the creation of the Molecor-Titán consortium. has been consolidated with the creation of the first oriented PVC pipe production plant in the Southern Cone of South America. Gränges to invest $110mn in

US expansion GRÄNGES will invest US$110mn to expand its aluminium rolling operation in Huntingdon, Tennessee, USA, meeting growing demand for light gauge foil, automotive heat exchanger materials, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. The expansion will create 85 permanent full-time jobs. The expansion includes investment in buildings, casters, cold rolling mills, annealing furnaces and slitters. This further positions Huntingdon as a modern and efficient rolling mill in North America. When completed, the capacity in Huntingdon will increase from around 160 kt to nearly 200 kt per year. The project is estimated to take around two years to complete, and to contribute positively to Gränges’ operating profit in 2019. This will be the second major investment in Huntingdon since 2000, strengthening the company’s focus on foil and automotive heat exchanger products.
