New products in laser tube cutting TRUMPF will present the next generations of its laser tube cutting portfolio. Laser tube cutting replaces conventional manufacturing procedures such as sawing, drilling, milling and de-burring with a single working step. This cuts manufacturing costs and reduces the organisational effort required. Laser tube cutting opens up new design options that would be either impossible or prohibitively expensive with conventional processes. of finished parts helps with high part variance within one production order, and the open and accessible machine concept allows for efficient processing of small lot sizes in between or during larger production orders. The TruLaser Tube 7000 series machines are available with a wide range of possible setups and can be individually configured to suit production requirements.

machines, cleaning of finished parts can be eliminated by using the catcher device for spatter-reduced tube cutting. Tapping is now available on most TruLaser Tube machines as a fully integrated automatic process in addition to laser cutting. The new Technology Package for Tapping not only works with thick-walled tubes, where threads can easily be generated by cutting or forming, but also with thin-walled tubes. The main attraction at the stand will be two new laser tube cutting machines of the TruLaser Tube 5000 and 7000 series. The machines of the TruLaser Tube 5000 series offer efficient processing of tube diameters up to 6" and are equipped with either a solid-state or a CO 2 laser. They support the patented Trumpf bevel cutting technology, allowing for bevel cuts of up to 45°. With a fully automatic clamping system and solutions for the tube supports, the setup times to accommodate different tube sizes are minimal. For medium and large lot sizes, the machines feature fully integrated automatic loading and unloading systems for raw tubes and finished parts, respectively. These systems can also be bypassed for efficient production of small lot sizes and single parts. The CO 2 laser version of the TruLaser Tube 5000 allows open and highly modular machine concepts, while the solid-state laser version offers the RapidCut function, which makes available the full cutting speed of the solid-state laser with tube cutting. The machines of the TruLaser Tube 7000 series can process tube diameters of up to 10" and wall thicknesses of up to 0.4". Adjustments for varying tube sizes are made quickly. The automatic sorting
