Seamless stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing HANDYTUBE Corporation is a manufacturer of seamless stainless steel and nickel alloys for coil and straight-length tubing for diverse industries worldwide. The company’s seamless tubing is available in several high- performing, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and nickel alloys such as 300 Series, 904 and Alloy C276, Alloy 22, Alloy 400, MP35N, Alloy 825, Alloy 600, and Alloy 625 including 6Mo (UNS S31254) tubing in both coil and straight-length forms, which meets NORSOK M650 (Edition 4 for MDS R18) and features wall thicknesses up to 3.8mm. All tubing can be coated with PVC or TPU for protection against the elements. The coil tubes feature outer diameters as small as 0.508mm (0.02") and inner diameters as small as 0.127mm (0.005"). The coil tubing is designed for applications ranging from safety valves for subsea oil wells to the transmission of highly flammable hydrocarbon gases in the transfer of CNG/LNG at refuelling stations, as well as fire-fighting system control lines and pressure sensing lines for shipbuilders. The company’s straight-length tubes are manufactured according to ASTM, MIL-T, SCI and AMS specifications, making themsuitable for ultra high purity (UHP), aerospace and defence, semiconductor, medical and general instrumentation applications. The straight-length tubing is available in sizes ranging from outer diameters as small as 0.508mm (0.02") and inner diameters as small as 0.127mm (0.005"), similar to the coil tube sizes. HandyTube also manufactures seamless capillary tubes, for uses such as measurement and sensing devices. From pressure gauges to flow meters, the capillary tubes are used in critical applications where accuracy and reliability are important. The company’s ultra-small diameter (USD™) capillary tubing for chromatography applications features outside diameters less than 1.59mm (0.0625"). To minimise the risk of cross-contamination and save customers time, the company developed the proprietary Chroma Clean ID™ cleaning process, which removes oil, grease and other contaminants from the tubing interior and prevents foreign particles from skewing results in the equipment. In addition, the Chromat ID™ drawing process promotes ID support during the reduction process, creating smoother, consistently uniform ID surface characteristics. To ensure that any defects are detected, the coils are 100 per cent hydrostatically tested. 100 per cent positive material identification is also performed on all finished coils, ensuring the material meets customer requirements. Mechanical tests are conducted on-site in an effort to provide customers with a short and flexible delivery schedule. All of the tubing is manufactured to a fully documented quality system that exceeds ISO 9001 certification requirements.
