Robotic cells for integrated tube production POLYTEC Srl, part of BM Group Holding SpA, has used the know- how that BM has acquired in the steel sector as a supplier of automation, electrical equipment and software for steel mills by investing in research. PolyTAG T is a robot with a label generation unit. The label is positioned on the bundle tubes and fixed at the specified point through a clip-on label. PolyMAN is a robotised cell – available for sizes of 2 to 20" – that can perform all of the operations that are currently performed by hand by the operator. It automatically identifies the position and the linearity of the tube, doses the grease with a high precision pump and pre-screws the coupling with a settable torque using a load cell control. The Polytec range of products integrate the whole steel process including a specific one for tubes and pipes. PolyMARK T is a robotic island for lateral ink jet marking of evacuation pipes. It is made up of a cleaning station, a marking head, a

PolyCAP is a robot used for heating and positioning caps on threaded pipes to protect the bevel (face-end) and consists of warehouse storage. All robots are controlled by information systems that read, collect and organise information through algorithms in order to interact with humans.
