Heat processing technology SECO/Warwick is a manufacturer of heat processing furnaces and equipment. Categories include vacuum heat treatment; atmosphere heat treatment; controlled atmosphere and can be expanded when increased production capacity is needed. A modern and intuitive PLC allows full visualisation of each stage of the process, including preheating, soaking and quenching, and supports production planning, maintenance operations and periodic SAT and TUS surveying.

sector of SECO/Warwick, furnaces for pipe annealing are part of the company’s portfolio. The offer consists of processes and technologies in various industries – automotive, energy, bearing, machine, pharmaceutical and food. Typical applications include pre-, mid- and end-annealing of pipes, heat rolled, cold rolled and stretched. The processes used are recrystallisation and soft annealing, tempering, normalisation and bright annealing, which are used for elements from carbon steel, low- alloy and high-alloy steel, stainless and special alloy steel used, for example, in cooling systems in nuclear energy plants. The turnkey projects integrate thermal processing furnaces, subsidiary devices, transport systems and atmosphere generating systems. The company undertakes a full design and technology evaluation, sets branch standards, designs devices, installs them and fully deploys the technological implementation. Three groups of devices constitute the core of SECO/Warwick’s offering in pipes and tubes: mesh belt and roller hearth furnaces for carbon steel tube annealing; mesh belt and roller hearth furnaces for stainless steel pipe and tube annealing and bright annealing; and custom- designed batch and special conveyor furnaces for pipe and tube annealing and bright annealing. brazing of aluminium heat exchangers; melting, holding and thermal processing of aluminium; and vacuum metallurgy. The group has seven companies located on four continents, with customers in nearly 70 countries. The company provides standard or customised heat processing equipment to companies in industries that include automotive, aerospace, powder metallurgy, electronics, energy (including nuclear, wind, oil and gas, and solar), machinery, tooling, medical, steel, titanium, general industrial, and aluminium and aluminium recycling. For heat treatment of extruded and drawn tubes of aluminium wrought alloys, SECO/Warwick provides the following solutions. VertiQuench ® solution heat treatment furnaces and integrated SHT + ageing systems: this is an optimal heat treatment technology for aluminium alloy extruded and drawn porthole or seamless tubes of 2xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx alloys series in hard tempers, providing short quenching time (eg for vertical tower furnace: min. 7 seconds for 7 metre long extrusions), and allowing high mechanical properties of treated extrusions to be obtained. The range of applications includes heat treatment of tubes in sections as well as aluminium alloy wires in coils. The tailored constructions have modular design, are easy to operate,

Solution heat treatment furnaces are followed by artificial ageing ovens for precipitation hardening of products, which can be supplied in one complete system conforming to AMS 2770E and 2750E aerospace standards and their tight requirements in terms of temperature uniformity and restrictions as to time of operations. Annealing furnaces for aluminium alloy tubes and wires in soft tempers: for certain applications, tubes and wires are used in soft tempers suitable for bending, forming and other downstream operations. SECO/Warwick can provide a solution for annealing extruded and drawn tubes as well as aluminium alloy wires in coils. Batch type, mass flow furnaces, designed individually for each application, ensure uniform and fast preheating to soaking temperature, and with precise temperature and time control allow low and uniform mechanical properties in both entire volume and length of treated products to be obtained. They also ensure low energy consumption and trouble-free handling of loads processed in the form of straight sections or coils. Pipe and tube annealing heat treatment equipment: within the thermal

Versatile bending technology AIM will be presenting the Synchro bender at wire 2016, taking place simultaneously with Tube 2016. The patented Synchro is versatile, with fast output and low-cost maintenance. AIM’s hybrid forming technology provides the user with the competiveness needed in an ever-changing marketplace.

Each configuration is modular and can be integrated in the field with relative ease. Models are available from 2.5 to 16mm. Standard two-year warranty, DXF importation, animation simulator and ease of programming are a few of the features on the AFM Series machines. Options include in-line drilling, chamfering, press operations, marking and part numbering.

In addition, the AIM Synchro head has the ability to form tube off coil to make complex 2D and 3D profiles. Large generating arcs and hard bends are made easy. The Synchro also employs three different cutting techniques depending on the complexity of the profile: chamfering, external saw cut and traditional tube cutters.
