OMS shor tlisted for innovation award

OPTICALMetrology Services (OMS) has announced that a report submitted by software engineer Nicolas Pellerej has been shortlisted for a pipeline industry award. Open to all entrants under the age of 35, the Pipeline Industry Guild’s (PIG) annual Young Professionals Network (YPN) competition recognises innovation in the industry, and Mr Pellerej has been shortlisted for the development of WeldAnalysis software. WeldAnalysis is OMS’s weld defect inspection software, and provides the pipeline industry with the means to quickly analyse and approve weld profiles. Mr Pellerej’s document outlines the speed, accuracy and flexibility of the new solution. Denise Smiles, CEO of OMS, said, “We’re delighted that the hard work of Nicolas and his colleagues is being recognised by the Pipeline Industry Guild. Nicolas is a strong part of the OMS team and was central in developing our industry-leading WeldAnalysis GRIND Master has received a prestigious SME Business Excellence Award. The award was presented at a grand ceremony in New Delhi by Shri Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Finance, Government of India. Sameer Kelkar, executive director, represented Grind Master at the ceremony. The award selection was based on the all-round performance and track record of the nominees. Grind Master has grown significantly in the past few years and is now one of the largest machine tool builders in India.
