Rotating ultrasonic inspection system WITH increasing dependence on high quality products and rapid changes in manufacturing technologies, a high demand for products with sustained quality is currently desired. Non- destructive testing is emerging as the best solution for such needs, with no damage done to the products or the intrinsic qualities of the material used. RoUltra is a solution for in-line testing of tubes/rods, with a speed of testing of about 30-40m/min, which is about 30 times more than conventional rotating tube systems. RoUltra Soft is the accompanying software, which provides a conventional A-scan of the testing as well as a chart-type scan, which indicates the defects with respect to the length of the tube/rod. The software also communicates with the accompanying control system to form a fully integrated and automated testing system. An inclusion measurement for rods can also be done for the tube/rod with minimal changes to the RoUltra system. RoUltra provides a thorough inspection of the tube and pipes/rod with reliable and repeatable results. The system can be easily calibrated for well-established standards, which are accepted all over the world.

In automatic mode, one tube/rod is selected and sent in butted or un- butted condition into the RoUltra, where the flaws are detected and stored for further report generation. The flaws are paint marked at flaw locations and segregated based on whether they are accepted or rejected. The system needs to be initially calibrated and can be calibrated to many international standards.
