any gas, and so reduces the risk of fire, protecting the site from fire hazards. Using a CTO machine makes it easy to keep the site clean using a waste tank set under the machine, and leaves no waste on-site after the job is completed. It is possible to cut dry or, if cooling is necessary, water can be used to spray the cutting tools – no chemical solutions are needed. The COFIM CTO machine is ATEX-certified and can be used to maintain any pipeline. There is no risk of explosion due to sparks or fire caused by a hot cutting process. The machine is equipped with a start safety handle with a minimum of 1.5m distance for the safety of the operator. Once the machine is set on the pipe to be cut or cut and bevelled, the operator can manage the whole process while keeping a safe distance from the rotating cutting tool. A clamshell design allows the CTO machine to be used on closed lines. Various options can be used on the CTO machine, such as out of round tracking devices, single point machining devices for heavy wall pipes, and counter boring devices.

Switzerland TUBE Clean GmbH cleaning equipment is used to clean the internal wall of hoses, tubes and pipes (HTP) for use in a variety of industries including chemical, petrochemical, construction, agriculture, transportation, aviation, food and beverage. The reliable technology offers a system of hand-tools, semi-automatic or automatic plants and equipment. Bison 4000 technology is for internal cleaning of hose and tube. The modular tube cleaning system is used for the automated cleaning of pipes and tubes with inner diameters of 1.8-34mm. The cleaning capacity is up to 2,500 pipes or hoses per hour with up to 15m/s cleaning speed. The system can be expanded to individual requirements with components, and customised solutions are available, developed and manufactured in Switzerland. Tube Clean GmbH will present the Bison 4000 technology at the Tube 2014 show in Düsseldorf showing all its possible areas of application.

The Netherlands COJAFEX recently supplied and installed an auxiliary bending arm for the PB 1400 bending machine at Larsen and Toubro in India. This arm enhances the capabilities of the 56" pipe bending machine. It can now also process pipes with diameters ranging from 4" to 16" at radii 1.5D and up. Induction bent spools save on welding. Cojafex bending machines can bend complex shapes. The company’s proprietary collision detection software enables customers to determine the feasibility of a proposed spool piece in the estimation/quotation phase.
