CJSC Tube Works Vsmpo-Avisma is a major producer of titanium alloy tubes. The Tube Works is supplied with billets by its parent company, JSC Corporation Vsmpo- Avisma (Russia), one of the world’s largest producers of semi-products and finished titanium products. During 2003-2006, there was a fourfold increase in the company’s output of cold-finished tubes. The company’s annual production of cold-finished titanium tubes is 350t, with a diameter range of 6-130mm and wall thickness of 0.5-9mm. In cooperation with CJSC Nikopol Tube Company, the company also produces 200t of hot-finished titanium tubes, available in sizes of 114-325mm OD and 7-30mm wall thickness. Vsmpo-Avisma engineers are constantly developing new technologies for titanium tube production and new types of products. For example, new products and processes include octahedral and ribbed tubes, a special kind of thin tube for accordion
