Addison Machine Engineering Inc, USA, has launched the first in a line of unidirectional mill components – a redesigned entry guide edge trimmer that can be installed or adjusted from either hand of operation. Previously, components this type were designed and assembled to most of

Oto Mills, Italy, designs, develops and manufactures complete production lines for welded pipe producers. The company claims to have been one of the first companies to design and manufacture a system that could produce welded tubes at 350m/min. The Oto Mills uncoiler line ranges from simple and small machines like the single mandrel uncoiler, to large and complex equipment like the double uncoiler for 168mm OD tube and the single mandrel for 320mm diameter tube mills. Each element of the line is designed to endure the loading and high speed payoff operations of heavy steel coils. Uncoilers are also available for special applications, such as the AD 256 PA, which meets the needs of automatic entry systems where the operator can completely direct operating sequences from a control desk. In addition, the AD 408 P planetary uncoiler minimises cycle time by allowing the loading of two coils at all times.

The new design eliminates the need to stock these additional components, and reduces the costs associated with the manufacture and inventory of the direction specific spare parts.
