Fast track delivery Raccortubi Group presented its fast delivery solutions at Tube 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Immediately after the customer’s approval, the tight delivery schedule could be met, with the in-house laboratory carrying out the final quality tests without constraints before shipment. All these elements were fundamental in matching the demanding conditions of the contract for the supply of two 20" diameter manifolds in duplex F51 with 11 double extruded outlets each, up to 55mm thick and 20m long. The group’s established relationships with suppliers were beneficial in guaranteeing the almost immediate provision of raw material as the first step of the efficient supply chain. Since 1949, Raccortubi Group has been manufacturing, stocking and supplying piping materials for applications such as chemical and petrochemical plants, power plants, shipyards, fertiliser plants and offshore platforms through its global distribution network. It provides pipes, tubes, butt weld fittings and flanges in austenitic stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, 6Mo, nickel alloys and titanium from stocks at distribution points in Italy, Brazil, Dubai, Singapore and the UK, being constantly replenished by the internal manufacturing of butt weld fittings at the production mills Tecninox and Petrol Raccord.

The technical department at Petrol Raccord promptly started the design of the tailor-made pieces with all the relevant calculations, and the internal production was planned accordingly.
