Tiny, tangless inserts

Advanex has developed smaller, lighter, free-running 0-80 tangless inserts that can be used in a range of markets, including electronics, aerospace and automotive applications. Advanex is the UK-based developer of the industry-accredited KATO CoilThread. The development of the new Tangless 0-80 inserts involved working with new wire, tooling and processes. The new 0-80, 1-64 and M2 Tangless CoilThread inserts are available to order and have a wide range of applications, including electronic equipment and components. KATO CoilThread Tangless inserts are said to reduce installation time by up to 40 per cent, when compared to conventional inserts.

The inserts are designed to o er the following bene ts: • Size/weight – Smaller than similar fastening solutions, the inserts can save space and weight for an application • Debris free – No tang to break o , retrieve, lose or count.
