Maschinenfabrik Nieho Booth: 841

The machine can reach a maximum rotating speed of 2,000 tpm and a line speed of 300m/min (980ft/min). The machine features wireless telemetry for all signals (including encoders), an energy-saving single bow design, automatic traverse with ange detection allowing spools to be perfectly wound, and monitoring of bearings temperature and cradle vibration. A smooth cable passage enhances the quality of the produced conductor due to a straight path from the second twist pulley to the haul-o capstan and due to the large diameter of the pulleys and haul-o capstan. Strong compacting is achievable via a motorised compacting die with lubrication. Two pairs of compacting rollers are provided for improved quality of sector shaped conductors. The machine is equipped with high automation and production control o ering repeatable product quality and e ciency. Maschinenfabrik Nieho GmbH & Co KG – Germany Website : www.nieho .de Nieho Endex North America Inc – USA Website : www.nieho -usa.com Paramount Die is a supplier of carbide wire dies to the global wire drawing industry, and delivers new technologies in the die and drawing die sector. The company has introduced several products which have become wire industry standards or best practices, and it continues to innovate. One such innovation is the ParaLoc pressure system, which delivers higher performance drawing and promotes sustainability by allowing customers to return used carbide dies to be responsibly reprocessed in Paramount’s automated reprocessing system. The main driver for sustained optimum ParaLoc pressure system performance is proper holder maintenance. Paramount will be presenting best practices for maintaining holders to maximise drawing performance. In addition to standard dies, Paramount develops intermediate and large dies, both round and shaped. It will be showcasing some of these dies and related new technologies. Paramount Die Booth: 1539

It will begin introducing customers to its new information system, “Paramount Point”, an online portal. The company is continually searching for new technologies that will enable wire drawers to further improve processes, products and pro tability. Paramount Die – USA Website : www.paradie.com

Maschinenfabrik its subsidiary Nieho Endex North America Inc (NENA) will be exhibiting at Interwire. The o erings of the after-sales service and the Nieho original+ components will also be showcased at the booth. Visitors can learn how they can use Nieho ’s digitisation concept. The new type MSM 83 rod breakdown machine with electronic controls is designed to draw rod wire made of copper to a nished diameter range of 1.38mm (0.054") to 4.56mm (0.179") if equipped with 11 drafts. The MSM 83 can operate at speeds up to 38m/s (7,480ft/ min) and is available in 11, 13 and 15 drafts. As the drawing capstans are placed on two levels, the MSM 83 is short, with a length of only 4.5m. Nieho and The controls allow drawing with minimised slip, resulting in high quality wire surfaces and energy savings. In addition, the optimised wire path and the high-pressure cooling of the drawing die holders contribute to wire surface quality. The MSM 83 is operated by means of the standardised NMI (Nieho Machine Interface) touchscreen display with colour user interface and simpli ed navigation structure. The machine’s sensor technology makes it possible to use machine, production and process data according to Industry 4.0. With the new Nieho Digital Assistant+ 4.0, machine, production and process data can be recorded. Continuous process monitoring and machine condition analysis is possible. Nieho is developing three D-series double twist stranders for spool sizes 1,250mm (48"), 1,600mm (68") 2,000mm (78"), as well as rigid stranders. The new D 1252 double twist strander is for stranding and compacting (round and sector) class 2 conductors for energy cables up to 19 wires with a cross-section of up to 120mm 2 (250kcmil). The machine is also capable of stranding hard Cu and Al alloy wires, bunching exible conductors up to 120mm 2 (250kcmil) and laying up LV insulated conductors. ▲ The new MSM 83 rod breakdown machine with R 501 type inline resistance annealer

Pratto SA Booth: 351

Established in 1991 in Piraeus, Greece, Pratto designs, manufactures and o ers technical support of wire-processing machinery and complete welded mesh production lines for the wire and construction industry. Clients can choose from a large range of custom-made welding machines that can produce: • Fine wire mesh in rolls • Light and industrial wire mesh in rolls or sheets • Medium- and heavy-weight wire and reinforcing wire mesh sheets • Electro-fused grating • Fencing (plain and bent) • Shelves, grids, cages, pallets, containers, etc The company has established commercial relations with companies around the world, with a strong presence in Europe, Africa, Russia, Southeast Asia and Central America. Pratto has developed many concepts which have matured into e cient mechanisms. These have been incorporated into its wide range of machines, whether the mesh or the electro-fused grating producing machines. The cross wire positioning system has been developed to allow the fast and easy stepless adjustment of the line wire pitch. The line wire propulsion system, featured in the roll making machines, is designed to let the machine deal with extra-small diameter wires in an e ective way. The machines are tailored to meet the exact needs of each client, supported by a continuous after-sales connection. The company’s premises of 5,000m 2 are located in Inofyta, 53km north of Athens, Greece. Pratto SA – Greece Website : www.pratto.com
