Wires and cables US-style at Interwire

Interwire o ers a fascinating insight into the world and workings of the wire and cable industry across the Atlantic. Indeed, the largest exhibition in the Americas has long been seen as a place for innovation as companies exhibit and speakers relay information to attendees on the ner details of the sector. This year is no di erent, albeit with a di erent format to the running of the three-day exhibition. An eye on the future is very much called for as a new theme running throughout is highlighted by the keynote speech from best-selling author Dr Shawn G DuBravac. His presentation, entitled “The future of wires and cables in a connected world”, is likely to attract many listeners, as the number of ‘things’ connected to the Internet surpassed the number of people on the planet more than ten years ago. Dr DuBravac is the author of the New York Times bestseller ‘Digital Destiny: How the new age of data will transform the way we work, live and communicate’. This explores how the world’s mass adoption of digital technologies portends the

beginning of a new era for humanity in terms of business, health care, nance, transportation and culture.
