New president at Wire Association International

Wire Corporation. His current role includes the oversight of technical and production operations and the development of new products and services. Before joining Encore in 1997, he worked at Capital Wire/General Cable for ten years. He currently holds memberships, and serves in key positions, in many relevant industry associations. THE Wire Association International (WAI) has announced the appointment of WT Bigbee as the 66 th president of the association for a one-year term, beginning 1 st January 2019. Mr Bigbee joined the WAI in 2011. In addition to his role as president, and a second term on the association’s board of directors, he will serve on its conference programming, exhibition planning and oversight committees. ▲ ▲ WT Bigbee Record results for fastener group Fastening and assembly materials company Würth Group reported a sales volume of €13.6 billion for 2018, compared with €12.7 billion in 2017. The number of employees increased from 74,159 to 77,080 during 2018. The Würth Group expects sales growth in the moderate single-digit range, and a proportionately rising operating result, in 2019.
