Semi-automatic dual-tyre payoff Windak’s cable packaging equipment is designed to provide increased produc- tivity through automation, optimising labour utilisation, reducing waste and maximising output. The company’s latest development is the OW30 automatic payoff machine for up to 3,000mm diameter reels. To make the reel changing process quick and easy for the operator, the floating pintles can be individually adjusted at the time of reel change. The height and width adjustments for different reel sizes are made by pressing a push button on the control panel. The machine traverses on rails in the floor. All motors are AC for quiet and maintenance free operation. A wheel against the flange drives the reel, allowing for faster reel changes with no need for the operator to align the drive pin into the reel.
