values per second. Officially announced at wire Düsseldorf 2024, Cersa will soon launch this ultra-high-speed range of diameter, ovality and defect detectors. Cersa-MCI www.cersa-mci.com

The LDS is still available today with one or two axes for diameter monitoring during the drawing process or for off line measurements, combined with accessories, for wires from 5µm to 2mm. For extrusion processes, Cersa-MCI offers the LPS-3-H to monitor diameter and detect lumps and neckdowns in a single product, for larger wire and cable diameters (0.3 to 5mm). This technology will be soon updated for larger cables and ultra-fast production lines. Cersa-MCI will be present at wire China to show its new measuring instruments, specifically its range of surface analysis equipment. Focusing on high-speed line measure ment, the SQM-F (new patented tech nology) captures surface defects and displays their shape on screen. It can be used during production on the drawing line, or offline by analysing wire samples in its Wire360 version. Visitors will have the opportunity to see both solutions in action. The company will also present the DLN, its all-in-one solution for the wire and cable sector, running at 250,000 measurements per second on three axes with a total of 750,000 accurate diameter

FLYMCA SL Stand: E1 E15

FLYMCA produces rotating machines involved in the submarine cable production industry, specifically rigid type machines, tubular stranders with bullhead and planetary armouring lines. In recent years, the company has focused on improving specialised machinery designed for large-scale stranding, cabling, screening and armouring purposes, with an emphasis on producing submarine, offshore and umbilical cables. Armouring lines are built in two different configurations: large tubular stranders for multiple wires with bullhead, prepared for the FO core paying off and avoiding torsion on the FO element or tube; and large planetary armouring lines for heavy power transmission cables produced on large, heavy-duty machines with a high number of wires based on single-, double- or even triple wire layer design.

Delachaux Group Stand: E1 G32

As a manufacturer of mobile power and data transmission systems, Delachaux of France has participated in the wire China exhibition for several consecutive years. This year, it will take a series of “refreshed” products to promote the digital and intelligent upgrading and sustainable development of the cable industry, providing solutions for high tech sectors such as ultra-high voltage, data centres, 5G base stations and smart manufacturing. The high-speed cable stranding machine is primarily used for producing LAN cables, low-voltage control cables and new energy vehicle cables. It is claimed to be one of the fastest LAN single-twist stranding machines available, with a flyer speed of 750 rpm (1,500 twists/min) and a linear speed of 200m/ min. The machine can produce control cables with up to 18 cores, using an established and stable stranding process. For optical fibre, the company offers the APC optical fibre high-speed proof-testing machine. Optical fibre production involves three main processes: preform preparation, drawing and testing. The screening and testing stage ensures that the optical fibres meet the required mechanical strength, transmission characteristics and service life. and rewinding machine rewinds the optical fibres onto reels with precise pre-set tension, ensuring the quality of the produced fibres. The machine can screen at a speed of up to 3,000m/min. It covers around 80 per cent of the special optical fibres available on the market, meeting the diverse needs of industries such as military, aerospace and medical. The machine is available in both standard and fully automatic versions. The fully automatic screening machine can operate without human inter- vention, autonomously completing all processes. FLYMCA specialises in large stranding and armouring machinery

Stranding cages are prepared for multiple bobbins, for example up to 120 units per cage. The machines also incorporate automatic bobbin-loading systems to minimise the time that the machine is stopped, increasing the OEE and minimising the possibility of accidents when manipulating the bobbins as on standard loading crane systems. Stranding and screening equipment for these types of cable use the rigid type machines. Stranders are prepared to produce from payoff bobbins with a flange diameter of 630 and 800mm with up to 169 wires and up to 4,000mm 2 in copper. The stranding machines are equipped with automatic bobbin-loading systems,
