includes all the desired process steps,” said Dennis Veit (executive assistant to the managing director), detailing the development process. “However, we have previously built this fully automatic machine in various configurations, each designed entirely according to individual customer specifications. This version features a very compact design, occupying only 34m 2 of floor space.” Customisation options for the double take-up winder include the use of foils instead of tapes; pallet stretching systems for wrapping finished pallets; and palletisers with intermediate layers. Labelling systems can also be integrated into the winder to label finished spools before they are ejected. Kurre Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH www.kurre-systems.de

adjustable pintles provide fast and precise tensioning of the spools, and the integrated linear dancer maintains constant tensile force of between 30 and 200 N. Following the winding process, the cable end is automatically secured with tape. Quick-change magazines facilitate the easy replacement of empty tape rolls during production, minimising downtime and ensuring uninterrupted operation. After the winding and taping, spools previously detected within the line as defective or of incorrect length are ejected via a separate roller conveyor. The palletiser transfers finished spools neatly onto the designated pallet. Full pallets are automatically conveyed further, while a new empty pallet is fed from the magazine. “This configuration is specifically tailored to our customer’s requirements and

The VA-P-400-2 from German machine manufacturer Kurre Systems is a fully automatic double take-up winder that winds ready-to-sell spools directly on the extrusion line and subsequently palletises them. In the current version, the empty spool magazine accommodates six spools with a diameter of 400mm, ensuring seamless operation of the fully automatic machine. The palletiser is supplied with pallets from a magazine that holds up to ten empty pallets. This design enhances efficiency and reduces manual workload for operators. The main component – the winding unit – features an overlap function, and ensures perfectly wound spools across two winding stations. The tightly synchronised sequence processes enable an output of up to one 500m spool per minute. Electrically
