Eurodraw Wire Equipment Srl is an Italian company specialising in the design and manufacture of equipment for the production, among other steel wire products, of steel ropes. The company has developed two series of machines for steel rope production: one series for sizes up to 13mm in diameter and the other for rope sizes up to 40mm in diameter. The machines for ropes up to 13mm are based on the double twist technology that has numerous advantages compared to a comparable tubular machine: a higher production speed, higher spool loads, lower noise, less space required for the installation and increased safety. With over 40 years of experience in designing double twist machines, Eurodraw has incorporated numerous features such as electronic wire tensioning systems, pay-o systems for large spools, adjustable stretching capstans and many other features that allow production in an easy way for both simple and complex ropes. Tubular machine design has also bene ted from a number of features that allow precise and self-adjusting wire tensioning, more ergonomic design to load and unload spools and new rope stretching or rope compacting systems. Like in the double twist machines, there is no longer the need to adjust the braking force of each of the spools individually by manual intervention on each of the spool brakes.
