Large-diameter outdoor rivet installation kits
Rivit, a specialist in fastening solutions, is offering new compatibility kits for the RIV720 battery-powered riveting tool and Gtreriv rivets, particularly used for installations in green and sustainable energy sectors such as photovoltaic and wind power. The kits allow the fastening of Gtreriv rivets with a diameter of 7.7mm, exceeding the 6.4mm maximum diameter currently supported by 700 Series riveting tools. The 700 Series consists of four riveting tools – two for rivets (RIV710 and RIV720) and two for rivet nuts (RIV730 and RIV740) – all equipped with powerful brushless motors and long-life batteries (18V, 2.0Ah, 36Wh). The riveters are easy to transport and can be used outdoors, the industrial, retail and construction sectors with products, and consulting on fastening systems and tools for the assembly and machining of sheet metal. The company is established both nationally and internationally, being present in more than 65 countries. Rivit became part of the Fervi Group in 2021. Gtreriv are neoprene-gasketed rivets that are designed to be waterproof and suitable for installations subject to harsh weather and conditions. The rivets, available in diameters from 5.2 to 7.7mm, feature three pressure wings that distribute the clamping force over a large area of the surface to be riveted. This, combined with their tensile strength, allows the rivets to be used on different types of materials, on soft surfaces and even on curved surfaces. Since 1973, Rivit Srl – based in Ozzano dell’Emilia, Italy – has been supplying
unlock the full potential of their production lines by harnessing exponential technologies. The MFL X ecosystem includes a suite of dedicated apps designed to optimise machine performance and simplify operations. The apps include Acumen, an Industrial IoT application that helps the user make better data-driven operational decisions, optimising OEE, and receiving better customer support; Wizard cloud-based engineering tool that simulates wire drawing line performance for specific wire diameters and materials, helping select the correct die set; Scout cloud-based application that allows users to seamlessly navigate 3D models of their lines to easily order spare parts; and Emma, a GPT-based chatbot that provides instant assistance for streamlined support.
MFL Group is a family-owned company specialising in industrial machinery for wire, cable and rope manufacturers. The company began in 1897 as a small workshop, and in 1919 created its first wire drawing machine under the Mario Frigerio brand. Over the decades, it has evolved from a company rooted in wire drawing into a comprehensive provider of turnkey solutions for the entire wire, rope and cable production processes. In 1998, the company expanded into the non-ferrous wire and cable market with the introduction of Frigeco, offering specialised machinery for copper and aluminium processing. By the 1990s and 2000s, its global presence grew with new manufacturing facilities in China and the USA. In the past decade, strategic acquisitions have accelerated its transformation. In the wire and cable sector, the integration of Caballé, OM Lesmo and Eurodraw Energy enabled the company to offer comprehensive solutions, from rod breakdown machines to stranding lines, extrusion and sheathing processes. The acquisition of Koch strengthened the wire and rope division, expanding the portfolio with advanced solutions for reinforcement steel wire lines, including cold rolling and stretching lines. MFL Group’s commitment to providing complete production lines reached a new milestone with the acquisition of Coseco, a specialist in chemical and electrolytic wire treatment, enhancing the company’s focus on sustainable production practices. The electrolytic phosphating line was introduced, combining MFL’s mechanical descaling system to provide a more sustainable alternative to traditional chemical pickling. Recognising the transformative power of digital technologies in manufacturing, the company launched MFL X in 2019. This programme empowers wire, rope and cable manufacturers to
