wire 2016 show

4-8 April

For producing special cables for medical and aircraft applications its taping lines can be found at many well-known suppliers worldwide. The product range covers single components like pay-o s, capstans, caterpillars and take-ups, up to complete rewinding lines and ne wire drawing lines for non-ferrous materials. Development has been advanced by the intention of energy and size reduction. On display will be taping machines for magnet wire applications which will help extend Lukas’s business in the cable industry with cost-optimised and easy-to-integrate taping and heating solutions. This should give incentives, especially to the Asian market. Lukas Anlagenbau GmbH – Germany Website : www.lukas-anlagenbau.de Germany-based Prozesstechnik has systematically advanced its CHF (connective heat ow) system. The proven sensor heads now measure temperatures of up to 300 ° C. Iune is also introducing a 60 per cent smaller sensor head, which allows for an easier realisation of multi-wire applications. Users can validate and sustainably optimise processes with the speed, precision and ease of use the system is known for. lune CHF is a non-contact system entirely without optics. It measures the surface temperature of moving, structured, round or at objects like wires or sheets. Contrary to current optical IR processes, temperature measurement is independent from in uences like emissions, surface structure, colour, re ection, speed or size of the objects. Compared with tactile processes, measurement is reproducible (up to 0.25 per cent of the measuring range) and more accurate. Process capability has been proven according to the Cg/Cgk measurement system analysis. lune CHF has integrated reference temperature. It features automatic self-calibration, meaning users need to set the value just once. In addition, it has no moving parts, which means no wear and tear. Users bene t from a maintenance-free solution designed for continuous operation. The advanced system measures temperatures between 10 ° and 300°C (50°-572°F). lune lune Prozesstechnik Stand: 11C59

Paul Leibinger Stand: 09F55

German marking specialist Paul Leibinger will present its latest inkjet printer, which is over 30 per cent faster than previous Leibinger printers. The JET3up Rapid allows cables to be marked immediately after extrusion at a speed of up to 1,000m/min.

The new, smaller sensor head has a temperature range of 20 ° to 400 ° C (68 ° -725°F). This head can be used for multi-wire applications. “The increased measuring range and the introduction of the new small head make the system even more exible,” said lune CEO Harald Boehnert. “With this, we have opened up further possible applications for users.” The system includes various sensor heads, for example for cables, tubes, tapes, lms or wire. For wires, users can choose from di erent sensor heads for diameters between 75µm and 100mm. The heads record the convective heat ow occurring between two objects with di erent temperatures through powerful heat ow sensors. They can react to changes within milliseconds, with a system time constant of <1s. Users can directly in uence and optimise their processes. lune Prozesstechnik GmbH – Germany Website : www.lune-gmbh.de ▲ lune CHF now measures temperatures between 10° and 300°C (50°-572°F) Magnetic Analysis Corp will be introducing a new high-speed Rotomac® rotary eddy current tester, and will display the new a ordable Minimac® 55 high performance eddy current instrument. The Rotomac® rotary is designed for ease of use and superior performance in detecting seam type defects in small diameter wire and bar, including lines with continuous wire operations such as drawing, spring-making, parts forming, or in straight and cut. Setting up distance compensation, a critical feature for testing ovate wire, is straightforward, and quick twist-on bushings and dial in diameter adjustments add to the convenient operation of this rotary. MAC’s Multimac® eddy current instrumentation, with two test channels, completes the system. Magnetic Analysis Corp Stand: 11J14

▲ The new Leibinger JET3up Rapid is optimally suited to the high-speed printing of cables

With the JET3up Rapid, Leibinger has demonstrated its capacity for innovation and German-engineered quality. The JET3up Rapid is also tted with an automatic nozzle seal. “Sealtronic” prevents ink from drying even during long pauses in production. The new high-speed printer also features over 800 integrated functions as standard. Visitors to wire 2016 will get an advance preview of an exclusive world rst, as the JET3up Rapid will not be o cially launched until the middle of the year.
