New group CEO for Europe
The Bossard Group has opened a headquarters and fastener distribution center in South Korea to help further its customer base in Asia. The new facility in Cheonan City near Seoul, South Korea, was completed in just eight months. Spanning an area of over 11,000m 2 the new construction offers space for over 100 workstations, while the distribution center has capacity for over 1,200 tons. David Dean, CEO of the Bossard Group, said: “Our successful business development in South Korea has necessitated an increase in capacity. In doing so, we have also created the ideal prerequisites for being able to serve our customers better and quicker.” New fastener HQ in South Korea
Miyachi Europe has appointed David Fawcett as group CEO and president, America & Europe. He will be responsible for overseeing operations and providing strategic direction to both Miyachi Unitek Corporation (MUC) and Miyachi Europe Corporation (MEC). Mr Fawcett has served as president and CEO of MUC since 2012, and was previously the chief operating officer of MEC. In his new role, Mr Fawcett will focus on sales and profitability growth. Mr Fawcett has a strong record in the Miyachi organization. He first worked with Miyachi as a manager at ACAL, a UK-based distributor formerly known as Townsend Coates, where he distributed products from MUC, MEC, and Miyachi to industry clients for six years, before rising through the ranks eventually to president and CEO of MUC. Miyachi Europe is a leading supplier of laser and resistance welding systems and laser marking products.
