Bringing Christmas to July

Aspart ofAllied’s 25 th anniversary celebrations the company, with the help of customers, raised $9,148.06 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation during its Christmas in July Charity Week. Charity Week is tradition for Allied Wire & Cable. Each December, one week is designated as Charity Week, during which a percentage of all sales is donated to non-profit organizations chosen by Allied employees and customers. The event is usually reserved for the holiday season, but because Allied is in the middle of a full year of 25 th anniversary celebrations, the company decided to incorporate an additional Charity Week event. From 15 th to 19 th July, a portion of all new orders set to ship by 1 st September went to a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation,

acharitywhichgrants thewishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Allied Wire & Cable has a long history with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and, thanks to charitable events over the years, has been able to help fund wishes for trips to Disney World, a trip to baseball camp, a trip to Florida to meet the Philadelphia Phillies at spring training, a wish to have a new computer, and a wish to have a therapy pool installed, among many others. On 31 st July, representatives from Make-A-Wish Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley, Dennis Heron, president and CEO, and Karen Traten, director of partnerships and communications, visited Allied Wire & Cable headquarters for the official check presentation.
