It's a month earlier, in a new city, the first under its new chief executive, and IWCS technical symposium is about to throw open its doors from 5 th to 8 th October. This annual conference and exhibition is being held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Atlanta, USA, in a break from its more traditional homes in Providence, Rhode Island, and Charlotte, North Carolina. It is, however, fair to say that the 64 th staging is as eagerly anticipated as normal. Chief executive Dave Kiddoo, who has been in the role since January this year, said: “I’ve been very involved with IWCS for over 20 years, but in the last nine months or so I’ve gotten a whole new perspective and appreciation for this unique conference. “I have an incredible sense of respect for the value that IWCS brings to our industry over the years, all the technical advances that have been presented here, the networking opportunities and more. I feel an incredible sense of responsibility to keep these expectations for IWCS growing. I am most pleased to say that I expect attendees are going to like the 2015 program as well as the earlier dates and new location in Atlanta this year.” Our coverage of the conference starts on page page 44.
