Sylvin takes up UN initiative

Sylvin Technologies has amended its material safety data sheets to comply with the Globally Harmonized System of classification and labeling of chemicals – the United Nations’ new method of classifying and labeling chemicals. “The major benefit will be that every hazardous chemical will be evaluated in the same way, throughout the world, and the

information on the safety data sheets will be in the same format,” said John Schlitzer, Sylvin’s director of product development. According to the occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) full compliance to the Globally Harmonized System is required by 1 st June 2016.
