Power for the Philippines

The Power Corporation (NPC) has approved the contract for the installation and supply of materials for the 76km 69kV transmission line project connecting themunicipalities of Mobo and Cataingan in Masbate. The project is part of the department of energy's 2012–2016 Missionary Electrification development plan.
”Aside from minimized system loss, the transmission line will also improve power dispatch, enhance system protection and attain power stability and reliability in the Masbate grid," said NPC president, Ma Gladys Cruz- Sta Rita. Saudi Energy 2014, organized by the Riyadh Exhibitions Company and Informa Exhibitions, will takeplaceon26 th to28 th May at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre. With regional investments in the energy sector at a peak, Saudi Energy 2014 (the International Trade Exhibition for Electricity, Power Generation, Alternative Energy, Water Technology and Lighting) will be a marketplace for specialized and related industries and companies to promote their products and services. It will also be an opportunity for them to explore regional markets and penetrate the lucrative Saudi Arabian market. Saudi Arabia plans to invest $109 billion to produce 41GW of solar energy by 2032, almost 30 percent of its anticipated total energy requirement by that time. Over the next two decades, the government will seek to establish PV energy generation projects with a capacity of 16GW. It also plans to facilitate projects with a capacity of 26GW that will make use of energy concentrate.
