INDEX
Feedback from wire 2014 in Düsseldorf, Germany, last month has been exceptional with the exhibition living up to its billing as the most important one in the wire and cable industry calendar. You can get the views from a number of US companies in our round-up, starting on page 42. And while many companies will still be going through their paperwork and leads from the five-day extravaganza, they will also be turning their attention to Wire Expo in Indianapolis, which is being staged from 6 th to 7 th May at the Indiana Convention Center. Our coverage of the Wire Association International's biennial event begins on page 46. If you are heading to Wire Expo, please feel free to stop by our booth 108 and collect your free copy of wiredInUSA and sister publications EuroWire and Wire & Cable ASIA . Our lead stories in this issue involve PG&E offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of criminals responsible for a power grid attack in Silicon Valley nearly a year ago. The attack, in which a sniper put 17 transformers out of action, and AT&T fibre optic lines were cut, led to millions of people in Santa Clara county being asked to conserve energy. You can find this on page 9. You can also keep up with the latest expansion news as WireCo acquires the majority of the assets from Edenburg BV (Gouda), a Netherlands-based company founded in 1855.
