Indian producer Reliance Industries Ltd
has awarded a major contract to Leoni
for wiring at Jamnagar, thought to be the
world's largest oil and gas refinery.
Reliancehas commissionedLeoni to supply
the third expansion stage of its Gujarat
refinery with instrumentation and field
bus cable for measurement and control
equipment. Leoni previously equipped
the first two construction phases of the
refinery plant with specialized cables
from Leoni’s facility in Stolberg, Germany.
Leoni will manufacture half of the
ordered products at its plant in Pune,
while 80 percent of the contract will be
manufactured and delivered before the
end of 2014.
