Logical appointment

Lightwave Logic Inc, a technology company focused on the development of a next generation non-linear optical polymer materials platform for applications in high speed fiber-optic data communications and optical computing, has announced that Dr Babu G Sundar has been appointed as its principal investigator. Dr Sundar has over 13-years of experience working in medicinal and organic chemistry at Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals and most recently Cephalon. He has published 25 manuscripts, has been granted ten patents, and has been the lead author on seven jour- nal publications. Dr Louis Glasgow, chief technology officer for Lightwave Logic, said: “Babu has enormous talent and experience. He will bring to the company fresh thinking and new insights with problem solving abilities that will be crucial to the acceleration of our development effort. This is a tremendous addition to the team and the entire scientific staff is excited to have him on board.”
