In the current expansion stage the system has 20 processing stations, including four upsetting presses. Other forming processes are also possible in the processing stations, including embossing and punching operations, and there is space available for process modules for feeding and connecting components to assemblies. Short set-up times make the Speedmax L suitable for small production batches, but the unit is also suitable for large quantities. If more machining steps are required at a later date, the modular design of the Speedmax L allows retrofitting with additional machining stations at any time.
