Clean and green energy is a hot topic these days. And expanding its vegetarian maintenance program is C2 Energy Capital, an investor in renewable energy and storage assets. Following a successful trial period at a Florida solar site, the company is expanding its ‘solar sheep’ program across ten solar projects. The program provides more clean energy options to commercial customers, and benefits regional sheep farmers. Between 80 and 100 sheep graze on the Florida site daily, keeping the rural location clean and maintained. And because of its location, the sheep are protected by a guardian dog which lives among the flock. During the next phase, the company is expanding the projects to cover 300 acres in three states, driving down maintenance costs. The full story can be found on page 9. Connectivity also plays a large role in this latest issue, with IWCS ready to throw open its doors at the end of the month in Charlotte, North Carolina. We have a preview of the show starting on page 38.
