Southwire’s expansion continues apace with news that it has acquired Construction Electrical Products (CEP), which manufactures temporary power distribution and portable lighting products. In support of Southwire’s goal to be ‘generationally sustainable for the next 100 years plus’, it has added the Livermore, California-based operation to its portfolio.

CEP’s existing product line will combine with Southwire’s expanding electrical safety and lighting solutions.

CEP employs 47 staff. See page 9 for more details.

Broad Reach Power has begunwork on two 100MW/100MWh greenfield battery storage products.

The company, based in Houston, Texas, is investing over $100m in the recently acquired projects in Mason and Williamson counties in the Lone Star state. Expected to be online in 2021, the plants will operate alongside the company’s utility-scale battery storage plants near Houston and Odessa.
