Steel wire closure

Leggett & Platt Inc has confirmed the closure of its wire mill plant in Jacksonville, due to a consolidation of operations.

people in 145 manufacturing facilities in 18 countries.

In the first half of 2019 the company produced revenue of $2.4 billion and earnings of $147.4 million.

The steel wire plant is owned by Adcom Wire Co, an affiliate of Leggett & Platt.

Adcom Wire produces spools of drawn steel wire used to make products such as paint canhandles, balingwire for recycling compactors, and coiled bedsprings.
