OMChas released a hermetically sealed 850nm fiber optic transmitter diode that delivers a high intensity output for coupling into multimode fibers. The device contains integral micro-optics that focus the beam to a very narrow point, delivering efficient coupling into multimode glass optical fibers as small as 50µm.
